Screening and Diagnostics

Heart disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. Heart and vascular diseases should not be ignored. They can degrade the health of your circulatory system, which includes blood vessels, arteries, and veins. The circulatory system is responsible for transporting the blood to every single part of your body, providing the nutrients and oxygen needed in order to function optimally. This is why it is so important to get proper care. These diseases can begin as a minor inconvenience but if they continue untreated, they can send a person to the ER for a heart attack or even complete heart failure. Heart and vascular disease can require serious procedures like a coronary bypass surgery or heart valve surgery.

The Heart and Vascular Center offers a full range of state of the art diagnostic procedures including cardiothoracic and vascular ultrasounds to analyze blood flow to the heart, limbs, and brain for early detection of any coronary artery disease.

Other Screening and diagnostic procedures include:

Cardiovascular risk screening
Non-invasive evaluation of peripheral and cerebral brain circulation
Exercise testing as well as pharmacological stress testing, which allows us to stimulate exercise among patients who have orthopedic or other movement difficulties
